Nanotechnology in Dermatology

It is no secret that the skin is the largest organ of the body, as well as external protection of the human body, which covers the entire surface and separates the internal environment from the external environment. Thus the skin acts as the first and most important physiological barrier of our body that protects the body from externalinfluences. However, it is practically completely impenetrable for various substances, and has a so-called non-network structure that facilitates the function.

According to its specificity Langerhans cells are located in the lower layers of the epidermis and areimmunologically-competent cells, and they act as the first line of defense and provide the ability to block most of the substances that fall into the skin, preventing their entry into the human body. In addition, these cells andinhibit various lotions and cosmetic products. This is due to the fact that most of these products have molecules having a large size, which can not penetrate into the inner layer of the skin, which means that the creams and cosmetics have an effect only on the outer layers of skin.

How can I solve this problem? Dermatological use of nanotechnology, by which it will be possible to create avariety of microscopic structures that are able to carry a useful active ingredients to a certain area. Thesestructures have got scientists name nanosomes, which translated into the Russian language is called nano-sized bubbles, the composition of these bubbles is completely absorbed by the human body. Due to its size datananocapsules have the opportunity to transport the active ingredients with a variety of structures, such as hair orskin and penetrate to levels previously unattainable beauty preparations.

Research and nanosomes use in dermatology.

NREL scientists Sesderma together with specialists Uneversitetskoy Hospital in Valencia held a series of studies to determine how nanocapsules pass through the skin structure of the human body. For this experiment, the human skin is placed in a specialized chamber, where it is contacted with fluorescent nanosome, which are beginning to look for easier ways to penetrate the human body. As some pictures, nanosome, acting on the hair roots are able to reach very deep layers of the skin for a couple of hours after application. This discovery allowed scientists to use active ingredients that are added to nanocapsules, using them to treat a variety of skin diseases.

At the same time the use of these technologies in dermatology is that nanocapsules themselves can be used as a means of transporting various medications to nidus of the skin, and provide anti-inflammatory effects andepithelizing.
